At a small ceremony at the Multnomah County Courthouse, we added a formal commitment to our already strong relationship of five and a half years and got married. We realized on our two year anniversary of dating that we were going to stay together and we exchanged rings, simple as they are, and minus the social titles, have always been as sure of our relationship as any married couple, if not more. The technicallity of being married never meant much to us and is why we had such a small ceremony involving the six most important people: the two of us and the four who brought us into this world. We are very aware, however, that it is not just having each other which has made our lives so exciting, supportive, and fulfilling, but all of our family and friends who have been there fore us. The fact that we just got married gives us a perfect opportunity to throw a party for all of you who have added to our lives and to say thank you.
The Reception
Our reception was on Saturday, July 26th at 7pm in the Sunken Ballroom of the Portland Art Museum, located at 1119 SW Park, Portland, Oregon.
The Peggy Ringle and Justin Lundy Scholarship in Dramatic Arts (Now the Peggy And Justin Hawkwood Scholarship)
Since we chose to have a private ceremony we have agreed that gifts are not expected, nor, for that matter, wanted. Should you wish to give us something, we have started a scholarship for the Oregon State University Theatre Department, since that is where we met. This book scholarship will be given to a student for there outstanding commitment to the Theatre program at OSU. In the memo or note section of the check, write “Ringle/Lundy Scholarship”. Also, the OSU Foundation adds all donors to a mailing list; if you do not want to be added, write “NO CONTACT” next to your name, or write it on a note attached to the check. Once the check has been processed, a receipt from the OSU Foundation will be sent to the donor for their records.
